Parking

Cars: On a normal Sunday afternoon there is plenty of car parking available in the grounds of Ormiston House, accessed through the main gate. Please note that on special event days, parking on the roadside may be necessary.

Coaches: Access is through the gate to the Monastery to the left of Ormiston House. Coach parking is at the end of that access road, oast the monastery gate.

Disabled Access

Ormiston House and grounds are accessible by wheelchairs and walkers. Ramps are available at the front door of the house.

Picnics

Visitors are welcome to bring along their own picnics on Sunday afternoons and enjoy the beautiful grounds of the House with views out to Moreton Bay.

Weekday Tours

Groups can make an appointment on any weekday for a tour of the house, with or without a Devonshire Tea on the verandah. Schools, coach parties, retired groups, respite centres, special interest groups ar organisations are all welcome. Normal prices apply.  

Sundays

The house and grounds are open every Sunday from 12.00 – 4.00 for visitors. The House is open for inspection, and visitors are free to wander through the rooms at their leisure. There are information boards in each room with interesting facts about the house and its contents, and there are volunteer Guides throughout the house to answer questions and provide additional information.

Special Event Sundays

There are several special event Sundays throughout the year, when the house and grounds are open for an extended time from 10.30 – 4.00. These include Highland Celtic Celebration, Mother’s Day and several Car Club Concours D’Elegance. Unless otherwise stated, normal admission and refreshment prices apply. See the Special Event page for details of these events.
